DavOr capitol acting admin head retires, but not tired
MATI CITY - The Acting Department head of the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) of the Province of Davao Oriental who celebrated his 65th birthday very recently has retired after serving the government for 32 years.
Romeo Gumapac Iremedio or Sir Romy holds the position as Community Development Officer II or Acting department head of ENRO AdMin office at the time of his retirement.
He was connected before at the Bureau of Forest Development, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and later at the ENRO where he retires.
Before joining the government, he worked as Head surveyor, Tree Marker head, Cartographer/Draftsman and Concession Guard of Pahamotang Logging Enterprises, Inc.
Iremedio who was married to Elizabeth Macoy, a sister of Fr. Jose A. Macoy of Cateel Parish, is blessed with six children and 11 grandchildren.
A day before his retirement, Iremedio leads other employees of ENRO and planted hundreds of trees in Puntalinao, Banaybanay, Davao Oriental to give value and meaning to his retirement and for his desire to continue protecting the environment.
During a short program at Puntalinao Beach held right after said tree planting, officemates of Iremedio bade goodbye to him, saying, “We will be missing you!”
His officemates said Iremedio is honest, hardworking and better person.
Iremedio who hails from New Bohol, Kidapawan City was heard that he will be rehired to hold another position in a government office.
