  1. Scope
    This Policy applies to the Ink Canvas iOS app and related services, including learning features, community sharing, and account-related local settings.

  2. Information We May Collect
    Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

2.1 Information you provide

Profile details such as display name and bio;
User-generated content such as artwork titles, captions, and comments;

2.2 Information generated through use

Learning progress, practice logs, favorites, likes, and similar activity data;
Preferences such as theme color, language, and notification settings;
Safety actions such as reports and blocks (used to filter objectionable content and abusive users).
2.3 Device and technical information (where applicable)

Device model, OS version, and app version;
Crash or diagnostic logs if such features are enabled;
Standard network request information needed to load remote images.
Note: In the current version, many preferences and progress records are stored locally on your device. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unrelated to app functionality.

  1. How We Use Information
    We may use information to:

Provide, maintain, and improve learning, plans, and community features;
Save your preferences and learning progress;
Display and manage content you post or interact with;
Enforce community safety (filtering, report handling, and blocking);
Respond to support requests;
Comply with applicable laws;
Protect the rights and safety of users, the App, and the public.
4. User-Generated Content and Visibility
The App includes community features. Content you post (artworks, text, comments) may be visible to other users. Do not include sensitive personal data such as phone numbers, home addresses, or precise location in public posts.

Under our Terms of Use, we may filter, remove, or delete unlawful, infringing, or objectionable content and restrict or disable abusive accounts.

  1. Sharing of Information
    We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only when necessary:

Service providers (if used), such as hosting, analytics, crash reporting, or support tools, limited to what is needed to operate the App;
Legal requirements, including valid legal process or government requests;
Safety and rights protection, to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
Business transfers, such as merger or acquisition, with the recipient bound by equivalent protections.
6. International Transfers
If processing occurs in countries other than where you live (e.g., due to infrastructure or vendors), we will apply appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

  1. Retention
    Local preferences and progress generally remain on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the App, or use Delete Account;
    Content submitted to servers (if cloud sync is later enabled) is kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes, then deleted or anonymized unless law requires longer retention;
    Safety/audit records may be retained for a reasonable period for anti-abuse and compliance.

  2. Security
    We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and data minimization. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your device and account.

Use Log Out or Delete Account to stop use and clear local account-related data;
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (some features may stop working);
Contact us to request information, correction, or deletion (we will respond within a reasonable time, except where retention is legally required).
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that such data was collected, we will delete it promptly.

If you are under 18, please use the App with guardian guidance after reviewing this Policy.

  1. Third-Party Links and Services
    The App may contain links to third-party sites, image sources, or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

  2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
    The mobile App may use local identifiers, caches, or similar technologies to remember preferences and improve performance. You can manage these through system settings or by uninstalling the App, which may affect functionality.

  3. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Policy and post the revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update means you are informed of the changes, unless applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
