shortText.com lets you publish a short piece of text to a URL anyone with that URL can read. By using the site you agree to the rules below.

What you may not post

• Illegal content of any kind, including content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Content that violates someone else's copyright, trademark, or right of publicity.
• Personal information about someone else without their consent (doxxing).
• Spam, phishing, scams, malware links, or content that exists primarily to harm a system or person.
• Targeted harassment or threats.

Takedown

If you find a short text that violates these rules, email abuse@shorttext.com with the URL and a one-line description of the issue. We review every report and aim to act on credible reports within 72 hours. We may remove short texts without notice when the violation is clear.

No warranty

shortText.com is provided as is. Short texts can be deleted at any time (by their author via the edit URL, by us in response to abuse, by expiry, by burn-after-read, or as a result of operational changes). Don't use shortText.com as the only place you keep important text.

Privacy

We don't require an account in v1. We store your short text and the IP address that created it (for abuse handling) for as long as the short text exists. Short texts set to expire or burn-after-read are deleted on the next read after expiry or after the first read.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, the new version replaces this page. Your continued use of the site means you accept the new terms.
